Mydex CIC has joined the Open Identity Exchange with the intention to deploy a trust framework around volunteered personal information.
Volunteered personal information is a new class of data that can only flow when the individual has the necessary data management tools on their side, and the ability to choose/ set the terms and conditions under which they will release their information.
Don Thibeau, Chairman of the Open Identity Exchange (OIX), said “The problem of ‘who do you trust’ is a Internet scale problem requiring international solutions”. Trust Frameworks are a new governance model that accounts for the cross-jurisdictional technology and policy interoperability essential to online identity authentication. “Mydex has the right experience and expertise to help make trust frameworks work across national and technological boundaries. OIX welcomes Mydex’ contribution to the creation of the emerging identity ecosystem that can preserve the privacy and security of all users”.
The Open Identity Exchange (OIX) is a non profit, technology agnostic, multi-tenant certification listing service for online authentication on a global scale. For more information, please visit openidentityexchange.org.
